An Inconvenient Truth

Just finished watching An Inconvenient Truth – the Al Gore Global Warming Film.

Interesting Movie. But it’s hard to believe that my geography lessons from 15+ years ago – indeed the same lessons that I gave 10 years ago (shoot – 10 years ago, already) have been made into a film that you can rent in blockbuster – by the guy that should have been president of the USofA…

As old as the message is, it’s phenomenal that so little progress has been made in the last 15 years. The point is well made here asking how did we manage to get it together so well to address the hole in the ozone layer problem and fix the CFC issue…whilst we cannot even reach agreement on this topic… a perspective i hadn’ heard before – and an interesting one…

It’s worth a watch – it’s either that or dig out the text books from the attic. Anyway, i’m off to trade in my car for a prius/bicycle/new sneakers…
